Job in the spotlight: Internal Sales

An Internal Sales at ATK Carparts manages several brands from A to Z and is closely in touch with the customer. Diederik Deboosere already works 13 years at ATK Carparts and tells us more about his trajectory and job.

In a former life:

ATK is the second company for which I work. Before, I delivered fresh potatoes and fries. My profession is car mechanic and my brother just started working as a driver at ATK. When I heard they were searching for an internal sales, I didn't hesite and I applied immediately. A huge career switch. :) 

My favorite brand:

BMW! Without any doubt, I'm a big BMW fan since I was very young! My dad used to have his own BMW garage and I've had 3 BMW's myself. For me, this is THE car brand! 

The most fun part of my job: 

Is the variation... I start early in the morning in the warehouse: controlling, helping my colleagues of the night shift to assure the drivers can leave on time. After that, my job at the office starts: searching and encoding pieces, the contact with the customers, treating backorders are things I appreciate. The variation in my job is great. Customer contact is very important for me, because I work since many years at ATK, I really have a good relationship with some customers. 

A little inside joke to share? 

A scene I will not quickly forget is when my colleague was standing in a Volkswagen basket, the wheel broke and I saw him in slow-motion going on the ground. Luckely, he didn't get hurt, but the scenario was hilarious. 

What means ATK for you? 

ATK is the job I love to do, otherwise I wouldn't be here as long. 
I'm convinced that ATK is very strong in customer contact, we always take care that our customers get their pieces as soon as possible.
